"A nature lover's paradise"

A nature lover's paradise, Mkomazana is one of the southern Drakensberg's best kept secrets. Whilst walking on the mountain slopes above the property, you might come across silent reedbuck and eland, whilst a majestic black eagle or bearded vulture soars across the skies. Historic Bushmen paintings and delightful pools with waterfalls are a comfortable hike away and indigenous proteas and lilies are abundant in the surrounding area.

Mkomazana is the ideal location to begin or end a trans Lesotho trip. The Sani Pass takes you up into the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho where you will be able to visit "the highest pub in Africa", but you will need a passport. If you do not have a suitable vehicle to drive yourself up, a guided tour can be arranged. Although motor and quad bikes are not allowed to be ridden on the property, at the end of the driveway is the start of the challenging Sani Pass where your riding skills will be put to the test.

No motorbikes and no four wheelers to be ridden on the property. However they may be parked on the property for driving up the Sani Pass.
